3 months late: Apple to unleash iPhone SDK at Macworld?
It's only a rumor for now, but it appears Apple is prepping an official iPhone SDK to be announced in early 2008. Unfortunately, Apple's a bit late to it's own game as hackers cracked the iPhone and iPod Touch up, down, left, and right.
Apple better bring something great to the table with the SDK because, as of right now, developers really don't need it. The theory, according to some analysts, is that Leopard's new capabilities will enable "more robust" features on the iPhone.
This makes sense as hackers have criticized the iPhone/Touch mobile OSX as being cheap and, in some cases, put together very shoddily. If true, it would have to do with the iPhone being rushed to the market in order to meet, however late, the release date.
